Seal Cove Cabins are located on the “quiet side” of Mount Desert Island, near Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.
Nestled just off the main road near Hodgdon Pond, you will have access to the Pond to enjoy a peaceful day in a canoe or kayak, provided for our guests. Walk to Pretty Marsh Picnic Area to watch the sunsets. Bike or hike through Acadia National Park. Stop for a swim along the way!

Fantastic Week

We had a fantastic week here at Seal Cove Cabins. Loved the humming birds!! Nice hikes, Great Head Trail, start at Sand Beach and walk to end of beach and take a left across a small river and then a loop trail with great views of French man Bay. Moderate difficulty, kids should probably be 8 years or older. Also hiked Beach Hill mountain trail which had great views also. Sunset at Seal Cove is fabulous. Barton fish camp (restaurant behind the Clairmont Hotel) has spectacular views and great food. We had a wonderful week.

Lovely stay

We loved staying in the Maple Leaf. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake and walking and biking nearby. This was our first time staying on the “quiet side” and we loved how peaceful it is. Thanks for having us.

Great Stay

Thank you for a perfect stay. We have been coming up here since I was a baby (42 years!) The island was an amazing respite after such a hard year. Can’t wait to return next summer We appreciate you both and wish you a great fall.

Great Cabin

We had a wonderful time this week! This was our fourth time at Seal Cove Cabins and we will still continue to return any time our travels bring us to Mount Dessert Island. There were some rainy days this week for board games and movies which was perfect in this cozy cabin! We spent the nicest days at Sand Beach, Echo Lake and hiking Beach Mountain. Wonderland, Pretty Marsh, Ship Harbor and Jordan Pond. Charlottes was an awesome place for lobster rolls and burgers. We will be back!
